During the kick-off meeting of the iTACKLE project, the consortium decided to organize a logo contest in Italy, Greece, Romania, and Finland, targeting primary school students aged 9 to 12. This initiative aimed to engage young students and their teachers early in the project, encouraging creativity and active participation while fostering a sense of ownership and connection to the project’s objectives.

Each participating country organized a local logo competition within primary schools. Students were invited to submit their logo designs, either as drawings on paper or digital files, focusing on the project’s themes of active citizenship, intercultural awareness, and life skills. The partners selected the top five logos from the submissions received from each country.

The top five logos from each country, totaling 20 logos, were then presented online for final voting. Students from Greece, Italy, Romania, and Finland participated in this voting process. The competition saw enthusiastic participation from students, with 75 students from Greece, 46 from Finland, 27 from Romania, and 66 from Italy submitting their designs. In the final voting stage, 75 students from Greece, 27 from Romania, 40 from Italy, and 46 from Finland participated, totaling 188 students.

A logo from Finland, which received the majority of votes, was selected as the winning logo. This winning design was set to be digitized by the Italian partner and has become the official logo of the iTACKLE project, to be used in all dissemination materials and activities. The winner also received a prize of €100.

The logo competition successfully engaged students and teachers from the outset, fostering a collaborative and inclusive atmosphere. By involving young students in the creative process, the project promoted its core values and established a strong foundation for ongoing participation and support.
